The Loyal Ladies of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) last Saturday went to the Akropong Constituency in the Eastern Region to campaign for the party’s flag bearer, Nana Akufo-Addo.
The ladies, as part of the campaign, washed people’s vehicles, distributed posters, pasted stickers on vehicles and also used the opportunity to preach the NPP’s message of hope to the public, especially those who were on the mountains to celebrate the Odwira festival. They appealed to the electorate to vote for the NPP during the December polls.
Executive vice president of the Loyal Ladies, Modesta Adjoa Darbo Nsowah, speaking to DAILY GUIDE said the Loyal Ladies were intensifying their efforts to dislodge President Mahama’s National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration.
According to Ms Nsowah, the ladies could not sit in the comfort of Accra and think power is going to come on a silver platter; that is why we have decided to leave our comfort zones to the villages to preach the message of change to the people
She said they were impressing upon the electorate to vote massively for Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP for their standards of living to be improved.
The group, accompanied by Nana Ama Dokua, Akropong parliamentary candidate, toured some parts of the constituency to preach the message of the NPP.
The voluntary group, which is under the party’s youth wing, is made up of young health workers, lawyers, graduates, teachers and a host of other professionals.
