WHO ARE WE
Loyal Ladies is a volunteer group under the youth Wing of the NPP. As its name implies, it’s an all female group. The role of women more especially the young women in the success of a political party in elections can’t be overemphasized. As a result the goal of loyal ladies as a group is to reach out to the electorate in all the nooks and crannies of the country to ensure success for the New Patriotic Party in all elections. We hope to kill two birds with one stone by not just ensuring victory for the NPP in major elections but use our outreach activities and programs as a platform to groom future progressive women leaders for the country at large . Women Play a key role in national development but sadly have been marginalised and stigmatized. As a result the participation of women in national politics is woefully heartbreaking.
WHAT WE DO
In an extract from Catherine MacKinnon’s “Feminism unmodified ” she asserts that the dominance of women in politics is critical to the issue of gender imbalance and the distribution of power. In a similar view, Anita Allen points out to the extent that government is infused with Patriarchal heterosexual ideals , men and women’s privacy rights are likely to reflect Patriarchal, heterosexual ideals of a private sphere. What better way to give a voice to the next generation of women leaders by giving them an opportunity to actively engage in national issues as well as seeing to the exist of the grossly incompetent NDC government than to join the NPP loyal ladies. Loyal ladies is an innovative platform that doesn’t just give a voice to our young women but Polish their skills in diverse ways . Our membership is all encompassing to ensure diversity. We have students, professionals like lawyers, doctors, engineers, nurses etc and traders among others. Our core activities center on sending the flag-bearer’s message of hope to deprived communities in the country .
